5 years…holy wow

Today Keith and I celebrated our fifth anniversary. Thank you sweetie for an amazing five years! It seems like just yesterday we were on a beach in Maui.  We took Riley and headed down to the Aquarium.  It was such a fantastic day.  We met the mermaids,  pet the stingrays (twice) and had a grand time exploring.

Confetti Quilt

With the move to a toddler bed, Riley needed a bit bigger everyday quilt.  This is what I came up with. She was so excited for me to finish this one up,  it was still a bit damp when she claimed it.  I think this might be one of my favorites so far.  I love the fabric, Delilah by Free Spirit and the pattern modified slightly is the Confetti Quilt.

I knit

I knit this up last month for a friend and of course forgot to take a picture… in all fairness she did arrive a bit early 🙂  But it is so much better to have an action shot, don’t you think?

We started the day at the Butterfly Pavillion and enjoyed a very active storytime,  then headed over to a nearby playground for some run around time with some friends.  A very nice day and we finished with Riley helping me make dinner.  She loves being in the kitchen with me.

Zoo Fun

Helping Daddy make some coffee.  Ready for the day ( I love this picture).  We met some friends down at the zoo yesterday and had a lovely picnic (we’ve been using the blanket I made).  We did not intentionally dress the girls alike but don’t they look adorable ?

Mother’s Day

I hope everyone had a fabulous Mother’s Day!  I sure did.  We started off by going out to breakfast at the Huckleberry and I had the french toast special with the strawberries and mascarpone cream stuffing. YUM!  Then we headed to the playground and did a lot of running around.  We were learning about the bees on the dandelions and why we should look but not pick the flowers.  And after nap we finally put up the water table and had lots of fun hanging out in the backyard.
