Weekend Plans

Thank you all so much for the anniversary wishes, I can't believe its been a year!  We were home together Img_1907 this week and you can see how much Panda is taking advantage of that.  We enjoyed a leisurely dinner at the Melting Pot on Img_1908 Wednesday and are headed out this weekend  for a few nights at the Crescent Lily Inn to celebrate.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Img_1880 Img_1881 I just opened my wonderful Bloomin' Feet package from none other than Kathy,  an already good friend :)  Boy, did she spoil me with a lovely card, gorgeous socks, delectable treats, martini stitch markers, and Bluetini yarn (I can't wait to knit) all wrapped in pink paper.  The socks are the Lupine Lace pattern in Ellen's Half Pint Farm,  the pictures don't do them justice.  The treats are Img_1885some of my favorites; molasses clove cookies and lemon daisy cookies ( I think I will have some with my tea in the morning).  I have been resisting the urge to buy sock yarImg_1889r_3n but have many times been over to look at Scout's selection and this has been in and out of the shopping cart and is even prettier in person.  I had Keith take Img_1897_2 pictures the moment he came in from cutting the grass and he is already eying the cookies ( yes, of course I will share).  Thanks so much Kathy for being such a great pal and friend and making my first swap such a delight!

And I would be remiss to not send out a huge thank you to Amanda for being such an extraordinary hostess !

One down

Img_1799 …one to go.  I finished up the first of grandma's socks on the plane today.  And true to my form, immediately cast on the second (while landing no less).  I do hope to have the pair complete soon.  I really like how these are knitting up.

The evening is looking up as Keith was able to make an earlier flight home 🙂
